Self Help Legal Services, P.A. can help you at all stages of your family law case from the first pleading filed opening the lawsuit, to complying with  mandatory disclosure, to preparing for mediation, all the way to  preparing you for trial.

Through Self Help Legal Services, P.A. you will have the benefit of an experienced attorney behind the scenes able to offer you the help you need, when you need the help, and you control the costs.

HOW SELF HELP LEGAL SERVICES, P.A. CAN HELP YOU

  • LEGAL ADVISE. You will be advised of your rights and obligations when you are going through any family law case.

  • COUNSELING. You will receive counseling regarding actions you should and should not take both in and out of court. You will receive counseling on what actions to take and what actions to avoid when children are involved. 

  • PREPARING PAPER WORK. Your legal paperwork will be prepared by an attorney during your Self Help Services session (as time permits) and you will receive an instruction letter explaining what steps to take next.

  • RESOURCES. You will be given contact information as needed for resources such as court reporters, private process servers, counselors, experts, parenting classes, courthouses, and judges.

  • FEES AND COSTS FOR SELF HELP. Fees start as low as $400 for the first 2 hour self help session and $200 per hour thereafter if more time is needed.  There may be other costs associated with your case payable to third parties which are out of the control of the attorney.
